- In a small bowl, mix the cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper until well blended.
- If using immediately, prepare your choice of chicken (wings, tenders, or grilled).
- Generously coat the chicken with the spice mixture, ensuring an even distribution.
- In another bowl, whisk together the honey and apple cider vinegar until well combined.
- Grill, bake, or fry your chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- During the last few minutes of cooking, drizzle the honey mixture over the chicken, allowing it to caramelize and stick.
- Remove from heat and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, increase the cayenne pepper or add chili flakes. This rub also works great on roasted veggies, shrimp, or even tofu. Leftover sauce can be refrigerated for up to a week.
