Method
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the filet mignon generously with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the filet mignon for 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Stir for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet. Brush generously with the garlic butter mixture.
- Place the seared filet mignon steaks on the same baking sheet. Spoon some garlic butter over the steaks.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the lobster tails are opaque and the steaks reach your desired doneness.
- Remove from oven and let steaks rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, or a crisp salad for a complete fine-dining experience at home. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the steaks are cooked to your preferred doneness (125°F rare, 135°F medium-rare, 145°F medium).
