Ingredients

  • 2 filet mignon steaks
  • 2 lobster tails
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Equipment

  • skillet
  • Baking sheet
  • Oven
  • brush
  • spoon

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the filet mignon generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the filet mignon for 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Stir for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet. Brush generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  6. Place the seared filet mignon steaks on the same baking sheet. Spoon some garlic butter over the steaks.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the lobster tails are opaque and the steaks reach your desired doneness.
  8. Remove from oven and let steaks rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted asparagus, or a crisp salad for a complete fine-dining experience at home. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the steaks are cooked to your preferred doneness (125°F rare, 135°F medium-rare, 145°F medium).
