Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 8 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip)
  • 0.5 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 3 oz strawberry gelatin (dry mix)
  • 0.5 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • spatula or mixing spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • refrigerator

Method

  1. In a large bowl, mix the whipped topping, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir in the dry strawberry gelatin until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the sliced strawberries, crushed pineapple, mini marshmallows, and chopped nuts (if using).
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors blend. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

For extra tang, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Add nuts for crunch or leave them out for a nut-free version. This salad is best enjoyed the same day but can be made a few hours ahead and chilled until serving.
