Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Add the broccoli and carrots to the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, until crisp-tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  5. Return the shrimp to the pan and add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  6. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until heated through.
  7. Serve immediately over rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, add sliced ginger or a pinch of chili flakes. You can substitute chicken for shrimp or add mushrooms and bell peppers for variety. Serve with steamed jasmine rice or noodles.
