Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage, breaking it up, until browned and fully cooked (5–7 minutes). Drain excess fat. Stir in garlic and onion powder (if using). Let cool slightly.
- Unroll crescent roll dough and arrange triangles in a circle on the baking sheet with wide ends overlapping in the center. Press seams together to create a ring base.
- Spread sausage mixture around the center of the ring. Sprinkle cheese evenly over sausage. Fold pointed ends over filling and tuck underneath to seal.
- Brush top of ring with beaten egg for shine. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Cool slightly, garnish with parsley if desired, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
Customize with spicy sausage for heat, or use a blend of cheeses like cheddar and mozzarella. Serve with ranch, marinara, or honey mustard for dipping. Best enjoyed warm, but leftovers can be reheated in the oven.
