Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat or beef tips
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) beef broth
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups white rice (uncooked)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Place uncooked rice in a greased 9x13-inch dish, top with beef tips, and pour soup mixture over.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 2 1/2 hours—no peeking!
  5. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve with the beef tips and gravy.

Notes

For extra flavor, add sliced mushrooms or bell peppers before baking. If you like it creamier, stir in sour cream before serving. Leftovers reheat well the next day.
